Voices in my head.
Little bit of back story, I come from a very abusive childhood and very sad , I am turning my trauma into fun short stories
(it’s a rough draft)
Warning : Trigger warning : very sad.
On a weekday late into the night there is a girl whose back is against the front door and a knife in the other hand, in the dark lays her little sister and her little niece asleep unaware of the danger their friend was in. Silence grew among the house and the little girls breaths got deeper and deeper as the minutes went by. She could feel her heart in her throat and the room spinning but always had to stay focus so he wouldn’t bust down the front door. A creak broke the silence and the little girl stood up, as she courageously walks towards the sound to defend the ones she loved, the room goes black and everything fell silent.
Sounds of dragging started coming into the girls ear when she realized she woke up and was being dragged by her ankles into the woods, as she was drug through the mud to finally hit the woods she stopped. Tears filled her eyes and she realized it was her time, she opened her eyes to a barrel in her face and to the right is a grave that fits her size then a voice. It was muffled but it kept repeating over and over “Get up, get up, get up, throw dirt and get up.” The little girl followed what the voices were saying and threw dirt and rolled into the darkness as he fired the gun after her the voice just kept talking as the girl stayed silent. “Keep quiet and follow me I will keep you safe.” Holding her breath the little girl bravely followed the voice deeper into the woods until it started to rain. Hours went by and silent grew in the woods and the rain kept pouring, “ we can go now just stay low and watch for tracks” as the little girl understood she slowly started making her way home. Soaked, muddy, in pain, and bruised everywhere, the little girl couldn’t help but keep thinking how she survived and how grateful she was for the voices when finally she say a figure in the distance it was a fully black figure that came close, stoop against the bushes and said “You can go now, hurry before he realizes you made it, we will meet again soon.” And with that the little girl with tears in her eyes wobbled all the way home and told everyone what happened.
Just to be told she has a habit of sleep walking and bad night terrors.
