Just upgraded from HD560s to Edition XS. Not that impressed.

Yeah, the Edition XS has a better soundstage and bass, but I don't know, there's just something about how the HD560s do instruments and vocals that feels more natural to me. Plus, I thought the treble on the HD560s was harsh sometimes, but the Edition XS has this really uncomfortable peak treble in some songs that just pierces your ear, so I have to turn down the volume or use EQ then. I'm using both headphones with a Fosi Audio DS2 DAC and a Fosi Audio SK01 AMP, so they both have enough power. Also, I bought the HD560s two months ago and wasn't super impressed at first until I got a proper DAC/AMP for them. It's only been a day with the Hifiman, so it might take some time to get used to the sound, and if so, I'll update this review – these are just my first impressions right now.
