Not married. But we live together and have 1 kid.
I find myself thinking about leaving her very often.
I got her pregnant in our first couple months of dating, and decided I would stay with her and we would raise our child together. He’s 2 now.
Now, she’s the typical stay at home mom a lot of posters here talk about.
She stays with our 1 kid while I work, and acts like it’s the hardest thing on the planet. When I get home, she hands me our kid and basically disappears for the evening. If I’m home, she is spending her time gaming, smoking, or napping. I do most of the house work and all of the finances.
That wouldn’t really bother me, except that she complains and bitches me out constantly, over some of the most trivial stuff, it genuinely astonishes me. She seems to always be frustrated with me over some chore, or not being able to find something, or something that she herself does. She is incredibly passive aggressive, if not outright aggressive, and if I ever level even the lightest criticism her way, she has an absolute meltdown. I don’t know how to tell her how easy she has it.
I’m at the point where I want to leave, but I’m seriously concerned over the custody of our son. I would be ok with 50/50. But any less than that, is simply not acceptable to me.
Would I still have a good shot at custody of my son if I left her, and what is some advice you gents can give me? Thanks in advance
