Can someone explain to me in simple terms how can RDDT protect its data from being scraped?
Genuine question. I mean, I can access the reddit forums anywhere. What is stopping anyone from scraping the data without paying a single cent? Sure the big ones like google are more easily held accountable, but what about small tech companies based outside USA/EU? Isn't the data currently like a buffet that doesn't require entry ticket? I don't mean to trigger or offend, I just can't seem to get an answer to this that I can understand, without it devolving into lots of jargon.
