[Hiring] Long-Form Video Editor for Investigative Documentary YouTube Channel

I’m looking for a skilled long-form video editor for my new YouTube channel, Jeevan Decodes, focused on investigative documentaries and research-driven explainers.

The videos explore hidden systems, industries, infrastructure, money, technology, scams, and other forces shaping modern India and the world.

Workload

• 2 videos per week
• Typical video length: 8–12+ minutes
• Turnaround: approximately 2 days per video
• Long-term collaboration preferred

What I’m looking for

• Strong storytelling and pacing
• Experience with documentary/investigative-style editing
• Effective use of B-roll and archival footage
• Maps, screenshots, graphics and motion graphics
• Strong understanding of viewer retention and suspense
• Clean audio editing and sound design
• Ability to turn a research-heavy script into a cinematic YouTube video
• YouTube long-form experience preferred

Style: Cinematic, investigative and informative — similar to high-quality documentary/explainer channels.

I will provide the script, voiceover, research and available source material. You will be responsible for turning them into a polished, engaging finished video.

To apply, please send details:

1. Your portfolio / previous work
2. Your rate
3. Your turnaround time
4. Editing software you use
5. Any documentary or investigative videos you have edited

I’m looking for someone interested in building a long-term working relationship rather than a one-off project.
