Is taking the best leadership course worth it for career growth?

I’m at a point in my career where I’d like to move toward more leadership or management responsibilities, and I’m considering taking a leadership course to help prepare for that transition. There are so many options available that I’m having trouble figuring out which ones are actually useful. Some seem focused mostly on certificates, while others teach practical skills like communication, delegation, conflict resolution, and managing people.

I’m less interested in having another certificate on my resume and more interested in learning skills that I can actually use at work and demonstrate when applying for leadership roles. For anyone who has taken a leadership course for career development, what made it worthwhile, and did it actually help you progress into a leadership or management position?
