Squirrel-free hikes

Hi all,

This is kinda a very stupid question, but I have a very irrational fear of squirrels due to a childhood incident. We wanted to hike Vernell falls but it is known for their brave squirrels, so I was wondering if there were any other hikes/times of days to hike where there might be less of them out and about.
