bpi failed my payments twice recently

my girlfriend came back from overseas and we were having dinner at manam. i paid for the dinner using my card, but after a long loading screen, it deducted my pay without paying the restaurant. i had to pay twice and wait for the payment reversal. i told myself that i was glad i had enough money to pay twice. i also noticed that i paid at 10pm so it might have been because of the maintenance period.

then we get to the airport and my girlfriend is about to leave. we eat lunch at mama lou's and im about to pay. i remember that my card seemed to fail last time so i decided to pay using QR. i also noted that it wasnt maintenance time, so I should have been fine. lo and behold, the same thing happened again, my balance was deducted and i had to pay twice.

i think i should be more patient but these were relatively big purchases and although the mistakes were reversed (im still waiting on the mama lou's reversal) these were relatively large payments for me and i can't keep expecting to just pay double. i have bpi as a bank because of my payroll but for now i think im just going to carry cash on me instead of trusting bpi online anymore.
