Kitten annoying older cat

Hello yall,
I've had a 2 month old kitten for around a week now, and she is super hyper of course lol. She just sometimes points that excitement towards our older cat and she does not like it. Thus far there has been no physical altercation other than a playful pounce from the kitten but for the most part the older cat just hisses and they walk away. I understand it takes time but I was wondering if my experience thus far is relatively normal and if so if there's anything I can do now to make this transition as easy as possible while also showing the kitten she can't always mess around with my older cat. My older cat is also very passive so having her correct the behavior herself is unlikely, unless I am very misinformed which is very possible.
