Is Canon R50 good for beginners?

Questions

Hello! I'm looking to get a used R50 with the 18-45 kit lens and it's listed for $850 AUD. The shutter count is 6000.

I'm going to use it for portrait and stationery shots for insta. And the occasional street and holiday photos.

Will the bundle be good enough? will I need to buy an additional lens?

I'm a total newbie and only use my phone for photos.
