Convince me to go to Dingbatz, sooner rather than later.

I live in MA, so Dingbatz is a 4-5h drive away in NJ.

Why Dingbatz? I've been a big Misfits fan since the late 90s, and ever since Dingbatz popped up in 2004, I keep seeing it mentioned alongside every Misfits-related/adjacent band. Most recently, I considered driving there to see Cancerslug, but saw them in Providence.

Why haven't I gone yet? There's not been a need... see the Cancerslug example above.

Why would I like convincing? Last year, a friend from elsewhere in the world got to spend a few weeks in NYC via her school's "study abroad" program. While talking to her about my many NYC trips across 2000-2019, I was reminded of how many famous landmarks no longer exist there, like the Stage Deli, FAO Schwarz, and even CBGB's.

It got me thinking about music/wrestling venues that are within my reach, and which ones I've yet to visit... Dingbatz is pretty much it. But I don't know much about it beyond its name, and that a lot of bands on my radar have played there, so that's why I'm here.

Got any interesting stories about Dingbatz? Is it just another music venue, or is there anything unique about it? Any other spots nearby worth visiting on a trip down? (food, etc)
