help! i'm drowning...

Support

i'm here, cause i have no one to talk to...

me and my wife had a fight, and it has become a cycle... she will not acknowledge her mistake, i always have to be the one to say sorry and we never really talked about what happened. we just move on until it happens again...

our issue is always about the money. we are not in debt and we live comfortably, but she would always say i am not a good provider....

we moved to Canada about 9 years ago, during the first few years, she worked during the day and i worked at night so we can take care of our daughter. Then we had a son... then she studied to get her license to be a nurse while i remained working at nights so I can take care of the kids. This was our set-up for the past 5 years.

Once she established her career, i started to build mine. Transitioned to work during the day since we can now afford to send kids to daycare. I even manage to have two full time hybrid jobs earning $120k a year since 2025. We recently bought a bigger house and rented our previous home.

But everytime she would get mad, she will take all the money from our joint account and let me deal with all the bills. She would always say the reason why we can afford our current lifestyle was because of her.

She would take more shifts to get more money while I stay with the kids, take care of them, do all the chores, cooking, cleaning, everything except the laundry. She would always say it is my responsibility to provide the needs of the family which I can and would love to do but whenever she is off, she would barely help with the house chores.

I only sleep 4 hours a day, I do not complain but hearing it everytime that I should be man enough to take care of the family when she can't even take care of me makes me feel numb and care less anymore. She has not contributed to our expenses for almost 2 months now and I have to deal with it all by myself is already taking a toll on me.

I already want to exit out of our relationship because knowing her, she will not change. and I can't deal with it anymore. I'm just holding on, for the kids...

i think this is what they call high functional depression... i still function, but i'm slowly drowning... and it just sucks because I can't talk to anyone and have to deal with this on my own...
