question about power bank confiscations in Chinese airports

Question — General

I'm considering a China Southern flight KTM -> LAX with layover in CAN. If I understand correctly I will need to go to a security screening in CAN when transferring to the next leg of my flight.

I am trying to understand is the powerbank confiscation issue. I have a lightweight phone charger purchased in Taiwan: Xiaomi 5000 PB0520MI rated at 19.4Wh. On the one hand I am reading that they are confiscating powerbanks over 100wh, and mine is much less powerful; but then I'm also reading they will confiscate any powerbank that does not have CCC certification, and I don't see any CCC label on mine. But I'm also reading that they only confiscate powerbanks for domestic flights. So it is very confusing and unclear. What should I expect?
