Low-poly style vs low-poly topology
One thing that gets confusing with AI-generated models is that these are two different things.
A model can have the look of low-poly art without having particularly clean low-poly topology.
I've been thinking about V2Fun outputs in two separate stages. First, use the prompt to establish the visual direction: simplified forms, planar surfaces, limited detail. Then inspect the actual mesh for polygon density and topology.
That distinction matters a lot for characters.
A low-poly character with bad edge flow can still deform terribly when rigged. A low-poly prop might be much more forgiving.
So I wouldn't judge a model purely by how “low-poly” it looks in the viewport.
Do you care more about the visual style or the actual topology when someone says low-poly?
