Building a gaming pc—which is better for 1440p gaming? 5070 or 9070xt 16gb?

I’m planning to build a pc in the near future and am currently composing a parts list. I’m having trouble deciding between nvidia and amd. The 5070 I am looking at is about $70 more expensive, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it. If it’s any help I’m also looking at a ryzen 7 9700x. I’ve already pretty much decided on all other parts. my budget is around $2500. my country is usa. No peripherals needed. Thanks!
