Does it ever just click with nursing knowledge etc.

Hi all! I am currently a 2nd year Nursing student in SA.I have been having fun with my simulation sessions and other readings but I feel dumb. I went into nursing because I didn't really have a concrete idea of what to do(I still don't) and i stayed because it was actually enjoyable. I've done quite good in my first year with anatomy and physiology and then 2nd year came and it feels as though I can't seem to remember any prior knowledge so I'm having a hard time linking everything together. It doesn't help that my Uni was just merged and they've adapted the other uni's way of teaching and the campus. I'm a bit stressed out but I know I gotta suck it up since 3rd year is literally just around the corner.
