Is there any way to build underwater early game on Bedrock like you can Java?

I've been trying to unlock all achievements on Bedrock on Windows for a few months now over the span of a few worlds. In this specific world I'm going for underwater achievements and I found some underwater ruins I want to try and get sniffer eggs from. I tried placing doors like I've done hundreds of times on Java edition but they just got waterlogged. Is there any way to get around that on Bedrock?
