Tudor - the triangle's proportions are intentionally unattractive

The hour markers of a Rolex submariner and the Tudor dive watches are very similar. Others have talked about the snowflake hour hand vs. the Mercedes hour hand. I wish to focus on the 12-hour marker that is a triangle.

It has always felt to me that Tudor's triangle is intentionally ugly. Rolex's is bog-standard, it's what your eye is looking for, but it's attractive. The dimension of the Rolex triangle are perfect, like the geometry of Greek temples.

By contrast, Tudor's triangle is too narrow and long. It just ain't right.
