Princess plus casual dining question

We are travelling soon on Regal with family but only our room is getting princess plus (other room does not drink alcohol or need wifi). Given we get 8 casual meals for our room (4 each) can we bring them along one day and use 2 of those free meals to cover them? Or is this not a thing and they would need to pay the cover fee regardless.
