[A4A] A Plethora of Regency Roleplays!

Hello fellow writers! I’m a 23 year old writer in EST, searching for a partner to write one of many possible Regency-era tales. I consider myself to be a fairly detailed and literate writer, almost always breaking the Discord character limit with my messages, sometimes several times over, tending to write about one message every other day, down to a couple a week. I love writing long-term, slow-burn stories, with large casts, where we can dwell on character interiority to a frightening extent.

That being said, I have many many ideas I’d love to explore and write, which I will detail further below, before following up with information about expressing your interest!

Bourbon Princess in a Foreign Land

This story involves two leads; an injured retired Rear Admiral of the British Navy, and his ward, a relation of his wife, who is also a descendent of Louis XIV, and perhaps stands to inherit massive wealth, were it not for the members of her family who stand in the way of her grandfather’s massive estates. 

The former is trapped in an unhappy marriage, finds himself deeply indebted to fund a ruinous lifestyle, and resents both his own injury, and his lack of an heir. The latter finds herself trapped in a cold, insidious household, with expectations imposed on her that she cannot possibly hope to live up to.

Dangerous Liaisons

This is the tale of a Dangerous Liaisons inspired wager, set in the glamour of Regency-era England, centred around a debutante, the diamond of the season, in all the celebration and resplendency of 1815 and the ultimate defeat of Napoleon. The daughter of a Duke, travelling to make her debut, unaware of the machinations and villany that occur amongst the rakes and veterans of the social season.

Claw Her Way Right Out

This is the story of a lady born to a Duke as well — but born naturally, as opposed to out of his marriage. A young woman who, without station or hope in life, found herself abandoned, and thereafter consigned to the lot of such women, though, by her own skill, rose to at least the semi-respectable role of governess for a wealthy and titled widower and his children

Writing Speed and Length: I tend to write in the range of 2.5 - 4k characters per reply, but with the right partner, can exceed 5-6k. I tend to do about a reply per day, sometimes more, sometimes less, but usually on average around once a day. I’m fine with slower paces as well.

NSFW content: I tend to prefer to write this content out when it occurs, if and only if, it adds to the development of the characters, and its been earned in the story. I do not write anything unnecessary or gratuitous — i.e., we wouldn’t need each encounter of an established relationship, and I would be content fading to black in cases such as that — and am totally fine avoiding all of the directly intimate content.

Faceclaims: I tend to prefer using ones from movies, television, or pinterest boards/vintage photographs/art. I can work, failing that, with descriptions, or, if you’re an artist yourself, I’d be totally accepting of you using your own work.

Boundaries: I do enjoy exploring the darker parts of the human psyche, which can extend to darker themes. I feel it’s important to understand what topics and themes my partners don’t want to touch, so we don’t even accidentally write about them.
