Flaky scalp with cornrows

Ive had cornrows in for 16 days now during mu holiday but my scalp has a lot of flakes now probably because of being in the beach and wetting my hair a lot. After i went to the beach i washed my hair wth shampoo but as we speak my scalp seems flaky anyway i can fix this?
