Neighbours are fighting

My neighbours are fighting, I hear screams and loud noises as if someone is being beaten up or is hitting someone hard or stomping or throwing stuff idk but it sounds intense. Heard this while coming back from work and saw another neighbour peeking out of her door looking very worried, we looked at each other and she said “hope everything is okay”. So the question is, should I call the cops or do anything? I hear sobbing now
