American Living Abroad

Questions/Concerns

I am a 20 year old U.S. citizen living overseas with parents and studying in college.

Anyone here in a similar situation? What did you put as your current address on your Global Entry application?

I’m a 20-year-old U.S. citizen and have lived with my American parents in Dubai for about the last 10 years. My parents recently bought a house in Florida, and I’ve been living there for the past month. My U.S. driver’s license also has the Florida address.

However, I’m going back to Dubai this month to finish college, so Dubai is still where I normally live.

My problem is that I have ZERO proof of address in the UAE in my name. Utilities, housing documents, etc. are all in my parents’ names, and UAE driver’s licenses/Emirates IDs don’t show your residential address the way U.S. IDs do.

For anyone who was a U.S. citizen living overseas when applying for Global Entry:
Did you list your overseas address as your current address?
What did you use as proof of that address at the interview?
Did you also list your U.S. home/address anywhere?
Has anyone been in this situation with no overseas proof of address in their own name?
I’m trying to make sure I answer the application accurately without creating an issue at the interview because I can’t produce a document showing my name and Dubai address.
