WWE wrestler Chris Benoit had severe brain damage from repeated head trauma, was a steroid abuser, battled depression and alcoholism. On June 24, 2007, he killed his wife Nancy, his 7-year-old son Daniel, then himself.

If Benoit had survived, would women defend him the way they defend mothers who kill their children?

Would you say his brain damage excuses it? His mental illness? His substance abuse? or would you call him a murderer?

Because that's the difference.Benoit had documented neurological damage , objectively worse than postpartum psychosis. Yet there was no movement defending him. No fundraisers. No "he was a troubled soul."

He's a monster. She's a victim.
