I’m 58, and yes, that is my actual age. I don’t shave ten years off, lie about my height, or creatively edit the scale. I might, however, deny ever dancing to Livin’ la Vida Loca. You can’t prove anything.

I’m a professional guy who lifts regularly, reads probably more than is healthy, writes, coaches youth sports, and can lose an embarrassing amount of time in a bookstore or comic shop. If that makes me a geek, fine. I’ve survived worse accusations. I try to take care of myself, but I’m not living on kale and sadness either. Life is too short, and tacos exist for a reason.

What I really like is an intelligent woman who can laugh, carry a conversation, take some pride in herself, and understand discretion. I have a ridiculous soft spot for a woman who laughs so hard she snorts. I don’t know why. It just gets me.

I’m looking for one good connection, not trying to build a roster or turn this into a second job. Somebody I can talk with, flirt with, laugh with, and see where the chemistry goes naturally. A little anticipation between conversations is a good thing. We don’t need to be attached at the hip.
And just so we get this out of the way: I’m not buying gift cards, investing in crypto, helping your cousin escape customs, or marrying your long-lost relative overseas so she can get a green card. I’ve heard most of the classics by now.
