First off huge shoutout to [www.ProStockHockey.com](https://www.prostockhockey.com/onyx-hockey-stick/) for getting these sticks out so fast. Ordered on Monday and at the door Wednesday.

So is it worth buying? Yes.

It is not what everything thinks it is though.

Some specs:
Z92 (9246)
85 flex
Standard height but cut down 1.5”
Weight before cutting 405G, 397G after cutting

This is not the same build as the Pro Reserve VF but very possibly the same mold. The VF I believe is around 380G-390G

Inside of my stick has the manufacturer specs it states that it is 400G but as I’m sure we all know that’ll vary from blade to blade. If someone has a VF (uncut) look inside and see if you also have this label. I’m curious if C250 is a build code. If you’ve got one please confirm.

**Performance**:
I took roughly around 100 shots with it today and I can say it’s a pretty solid stick. For the last 4 years I’ve been exclusively low kick and the Zegras curve is new to me so it took a little adjusting to but once I did man this thing is pretty sick!

\-**The** **kick** nice and responsive easy to load and the release felt great

\-**The blade** may have been the star of the show nice and pingy but with a perfect balance of dampened. puck handling with it was a dream and definitely near the very top of sticks I’ve used. Puck feel was pretty perfect.

\-**Grip** was decent, I like a tackier stick this was more on the glossy, semi tack side. Sliding wasn’t an issue though.

**Overall** the shots felt amazing, once I dialed in with the curve I had zero issues with accuracy at all, I was able to get both power and accuracy not one or the other like most sticks.

**Comparison**: Warrior Alpha

I’m happy with this and if anyone at PSH or Pro Reserve sees this I’ll happily accept another one 😘

If I had to guess what this stick really is I’d have to assume it’s more of a prostock build of the VF. Bit of a heavier stick, a slightly stiffer blade. Time will tell with use but at $199 this is a heck of a bargain.

If you’re debating on it, I’d say get one.
