Looking back

NSFWStory post

I'm 35 now, and every once in a while, I think back to my senior year of high school. I was 18, convinced I knew everything, and honestly, those days had a kind of energy that I still remember.
There was one Friday in particular that stands out.
Looking back now, it sounds ridiculous, but at the time, I genuinely felt like I'd been blessed with a good sign. I made it through the entire school day and only got two atomic wedgies.
That was it.
Just two.
And somehow, my tighty whities were still completely intact. They weren't ripped, stretched out, or hanging halfway off me. They had somehow survived the day and were still exactly where they were supposed to be.
I remember walking out of school that afternoon thinking, Man, today went pretty good.
Back then, getting messed with by your friends was just part of being a senior. You had to stay alert in the hallways, especially on a Friday when everybody was already thinking about the weekend. But that day, I felt like I had made it through relatively unscathed.
I was 18, it was my senior year, and I had absolutely no idea what the future held. But standing outside that school on Friday afternoon, I had this feeling that the weekend was going to be something special.
Maybe it was the fact that my underwear had survived.
Maybe it was just being young and knowing I had two whole days ahead of me with no school.
Whatever it was, I remember thinking to myself, Yeah... this weekend is about to be lit.
And looking back at it now, 17 years later, it's funny what your younger self considered a good omen
