Black Cat Energy

I've asked about grumpy x sunshine before. Now I need a story with a grumpy MC or an important side character who is grumpy just for the sake of being grumpy, x_x (I thought of "tsundere" to describe it, but that's not quite it, more of a black cat personality). I don't want them to have a ton of trauma behind it. They're just indifferent, not cold, not shy, and they're assertive and sociable to an extent.

The love interest doesn't have to be sunshine, just someone who can deal with the grumpiness.

I like Miyagi in Shuukura in terms of knowing what she wants (except for the part where what she wants is Sendai as her wife, lol). But she has deep trauma, which is fine, because I think the trauma mainly affects her attachment issues, not so much her personality.

I like the side character Hirose in Bluer Than Love (Koi Yori Aoku).

I like the character Yuju in Happiness Rides a Broomstick.

Argh, I don't know, but I think what these characters have in common is a subtle but strong act of services. Also not falling head over heels right away for their partner. I still need that black cat energy. Plus point to have a life outside of their love. x_x
