Custom earplugs

I go to concerts and music festivals frequently, primarily rock/heavy metal where I stay in the pit. I've tried Loop, Eargasm and various cheaper options from Amazon. However, they all make my ears hurt after about an hour or so. I'm looking at custom molded earplugs from 1of1 custom, MEE audio, and Sensaphonics. I like the option to buy different decibel filters to change out and a cord to hold onto them if I get kicked in the head or something.

Has anyone used these?

What are your thoughts for custom earplugs?
