Best Things Happening in Loveland Saturday Night and Sunday (Aug 22-23)
Corn Roast runs into the evening, and there's a telescope in the canyon after that.
The Big One
- Corn Roast Festival at Old Fairgrounds Park, Saturday into the evening. Beer garden, live music, vendors, and the 130th year of it.
Outdoors
- Astronomy Night with the NoCo Astronomical Society at Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park, Sat 8pm. Volunteer scopes set up in the Big Thompson canyon, well past the city glow. Bring a red flashlight if you have one, and check the sky first.
Sunday
- Be You Yoga at The Love Shack, Sun 9-10am
- Beach Buti at The Love Shack, Sun 7-9pm. More cardio than the mat suggests.
Worth the Drive
- Monster Day, 8th and 9th Street Plazas, Sat noon-5pm. The tenth and final year. Eighty-plus vendors, roaming creatures, mask making, and one last costume contest. It's a fundraiser for Don't Be A Monster, which runs anti-bullying assemblies in schools.
- Hoss and the Hangman at City Star in Berthoud, Sat 6-8:30pm
- Mad Dog Blues Duo at City Star in Berthoud, Sun 5-7:30pm
- Rusty 44 on the Avery House lawn in Fort Collins, Sun 4pm, free
