I had an encounter in July of 2008 that still has me puzzled.
I was returning from a neighboring town at 8:30 PM after a meeting, traveling the valley between hills on either side of the highway when I noticed a 'V' formation of blue lights at the top of the hill to my left.
These hilltops are farmland around here, so I figured it was harvesting equipment. The 'V' consisted of 25-30 lights, which happens sometimes if a farmer becomes seriously ill; the neighboring farmers will get together and harvest the crop. They covered an area I would estimate to have been about the size of at least 6 football fields.

As I got closer and glanced again, I could see they were *above* the ground, and instantly thought of planes, but they were going too slow; maybe helicopters? The 'V' formation was flying backwards, with what one would expect the solo lead plane' taking up the rear.

I was traveling at 65 MPH, and though there was no other traffic the side of the road was far too narrow to pull over safely, so I just kept glancing out my window, trying to figure out what I was seeing. By this time I was right beside the hill and I could no longer see anything but a massive row of lights rotating from red to blue to white. They didn't cast any light downward that I could tell, and I never saw a craft of any kind; just lights on top of the hill and then right beside the highway.

I've never read or heard of anybody else seeing a massive formation of just lights before, and I still have trouble making sense of what I saw.
I've never discussed this with anyone but my hubby before but am willing to hear other's thoughts on what this sighting might have been.

I now return you to your regular programming.
