Almost 8 months sober: Wisdom from a previous daily drinker weed addict and nicotine fein
8 months ago, I drank everyday. I needed every form of instant gratification. I was addicted to binge eating, smoking nicotines vapes, smoking weed, and drinking tall boys and buzzballs every single day for years. I used to think it was strange people lived life completely sober. What do you mean you don't smoke 24/hrs a day as soon as you wake up? What do you mean you don't go to sleep drunk and sometimes even wake up still drunk? I thought alcohol and smoking made me feel better, but really when I look back it was ruining every single aspect of my life. I was sick physically and mentally. I was on the verge of destroying everything I've worked for in life, ruining my life before it really even starts. I feel reborn, like life is finally worth living. Like I can finally enjoy life how it was meant to be lived. If you want to stop drinking, stop smoking, please do. Obviously easier said than done. I went through withdrawal, and for a few months regretted going sober from everything. I couldn't accept a life without drinking, without my vices, without an escape. But the only regret I have is I didn't do it sooner.
