Astrology confused my life

I don't understand anything at this point so I have met a few people on reddit who studied my chart but different people gave different opinions now I don't want to ask about that here again but my only question is astrology absolute? I mean if I have decided to do something and an astrologer says this is not given in your kundli but I still study and work hard for my aim can't I achieve it ? If everything is planned then why am I taking my decisions? Just hand us a script at birth ? If I am wrong please correct me and tell me what to do ? I don't want to live like this in confusion .
