our school installed a triton vape detector , here is our review.

We've had Triton ULTRA sensors running in four school bathrooms for a few months now, and figured I'd share our experience since there aren't many real-world reviews from people using them. Installation was pretty straightforward since we already had PoE available. Triton's team handled the setup and walked us through everything at no extra cost, including training so we were confident everything was done right from the get-go

The benefit has been the alerting. Notifications go straight to the staff responsible for that area, so someone can usually check the location quickly instead of finding out much later through email. False alarms were my concern before we installed them, especially in bathrooms, but that hasn't really happened. So far the detections we've responded to have generally been legitimate.

One thing I didn't expect was how much the facilities team would lean into the environmental monitoring and some of the other detection capabilities. The loitering detection and over occupancy alerts have been more helpful than I anticipated, staff members now check those regularly for the busier bathrooms during passing periods.

If I had one complaint, it'd be the reporting interface. The information is there, but I'd like to see better ways to compare trends across multiple locations without exporting everything.
