How much bleeding is too much?

Just got the paragard copper iud 11 days ago. No BC prior. Normal cycles, light-heavy flow and very regular. Since I got the copper IUD, I’ve been bleeding every day, pretty heavily. Soaking a pad every 2 hrs, soaking a pad even with a tampon in. Some small clots passing too. I’m going crazy, this can’t last forever, right? Should it subside after my first period? On the bright side, no cramps whatsoever, and intention pain was 0/10 which I wasn’t expecting. I want this to work! Please share any similar experiences with positive outcomes pretty please
