Are these itch.io analytics healthy after the first week?

Question

I've been running an Alpha on itch.io for a little over a week and I'm trying to understand whether these numbers are healthy for a small indie game.

Current numbers are roughly:

  • 330 views
  • 140 browser plays
  • 7 ratings
  • 5 collections
  • ~43% page view -> play conversion

Game for context: https://xx-caputokayk-xx.itch.io/bounce-back

The initial traffic spike dropped pretty quickly, but later I managed to create a second, larger spike mostly through Reddit.

I'm also still getting a small amount of traffic from itch's New & Popular and tag pages.

For people who have more experience with itch.io:

  • Do these numbers look healthy for an early Alpha?
  • Is ~43% view -> browser play conversion considered good?
  • Does itch.io keep recommending games over time if they continue getting external traffic, plays and ratings?
  • Or does internal discovery usually fall off after the first couple of weeks regardless?

I'm mainly trying to understand whether continuing to send traffic to the itch page can create some long-term organic discovery while I prepare the Steam page.
