I used to record AEW Dynamite on my DVR. It was part of device's schedule ever since the launch of the show.

Because of the constant overrun shenanigans, I would keep missing the end of the program. Despite how many times I would re-re-readjust my DVR settings, Khan's inconsistent overruns would eclipse my DVR's endpoints.

Then I would have to go on YouTube or HBO Max. Locate the endings of the shows and watch what my DVR missed. Finally!

The recent Dynamite special from Mexico City was the last straw for me! It was bad enough that Khan kept overrunning his regular two hour program. The Mexico City program was officially a two and a half hour broadcast... AND THE SHOW STILL RAN OVER!!!

I deleted my DVR setups for Dynamite and all other AEW cable programing. I am just going to watch the *replays* on HBO Max from now on.

I emphasize the replays instead of live broadcast because the replays don't have commercial breaks. I can view the programs in their entirety and save time with thanks to the automatic commercial skips.

I know that I'm not only wrestling fan that has complained about the overruns. I heard that Warner Brothers is pleased with the overruns. The extra time has benefited the business in some way or another. I cannot image the overruns are any fun for the folks that handle the TBS schedules of Wednesday nights. If "the suits" are happy, then the rest of us have to endure as best as possible.

Still, I genuinely wonder if Tony Khan and Warner Brothers value cable ratings more or streaming metrics more. Does anyone know? If Khan and the company were forced to pick only one method, then which method would they select?

I have made my choice.

Which is more important for WB and Tony Khan, streaming or cable? They just lost a viewer of one of those.
