Sending a child to Gaelscoil - Not a Gaeilgeoir. Advice?

Adulting

Next year we have the choice to send our little girl to a Gaelscoil that's a 3/4 minute walk from our front door, or a traditional National School which is a 6/7 minute drive.

Neither are bad options, and the grandparents are next door to the National School which is handy.

My main concern with the Gaelscoil is that neither my wife or I can speak Irish. I think I got a C in pass Irish in the leaving, and don't think I've used it since. I'm worried that I won't be able to help her with school & homework. My wife has slightly better Irish than me but still wouldn't be fluent.

Does anyone have experience in the same situation?
