Did I get played?

I had surgery in November (10 months ago) and have been experiencing increased hair shedding since March (at least that’s when I noticed) which I suspected was an anesthesia side effect but was unsure that it would last this long. I finally saw a derm who quickly looked at my scalp, said it was healthy, prescribed me keto shampoo, minoxidil and spironolactone. No blood panel, no pull test, just prescription and sent me away $250 poorer. I am freaking about potential side effects and after reading this sub wondering if I should have even been prescribed these at all since this derm visit was deemed “cosmetic” and I wasn’t diagnosed with anything. Help! Should I be on these meds? Should I wait and see if the shedding resolves?
