How much of your company actually runs through one Google Workspace admin account?

Worth actually mapping this out for your own org, because the answer is usually "more than expected."

Every department's Gmail, every file across every Drive, shared calendars, and often a chain of "Sign in with Google" connections to other business tools — all of it typically traces back through one super admin account, or a very small number of them.

If that account gets locked (compromised credentials, an internal dispute, a policy flag, whatever the cause), the impact doesn't stay contained to IT — sales loses client history, finance loses records, every team loses their inbox at the same time, and there's no guaranteed fast path back through standard support.

The mitigation that actually neutralises this specific risk is an independent backup that exists outside that admin relationship entirely — so the data survives the account, not just alongside it. Curious if others have actually mapped their own single-point-of-failure exposure here.
