My Dad died on monday
I (23F) lost my dad (54m) on monday after an 11 month battle with cancer. Losing my dad doesn’t feel like I expected it to feel. I thought id be devastated and inconsolable and whilst I do feel sad i mostly just feel numb and empty. I know its probably the shock or maybe because I knew it was coming (sort of, I knew his cancer was incurable but even 2 months ago we thought we still had so long he was quite healthy despite the cancer and then about 3 weeks ago he started to rapidly deteriorate).
So im wondering from people who have experienced this before, when does the pain start? how do I learn to live without him? what can I do to help survive this and also keep his memory alive?
I like doing crafts and being busy so if theres any suggestions of random stuff that I could do then please help aha
