Do cats get hair ache?

Do cats get hair ache like humans do when we hair our hair tied up for too long? My cat has worn a collar for the past year or so, sometimes when I stroke him and move the collar his fur is stuck up around his neck where the collar has been, when I scratch him there I can’t tell if he likes it or not, and it made me wonder if they experience the feeling humans do when we massage our hair after it’s been tied up too long?
