Advice on reading order

I've loved Hulk since I was younger, but only started reading his comics recently, when I was gifted a Planet Hulk Omnibus, and loved it. After that, of course, I had to read World War Hulk 1-5. I've also read the first five issues of Immortal Hulk as I've heard that's the peak of modern Hulk. A couple of days ago, I purchased Incredible Hulk 370, 373, and 374 at a comics shop, because I've heard Peter David's run is monumental and those were the only Peter David Hulk at the shop, and I read them and loved them.

The question is this: does Peter David's hulk run require me to read in order to enjoy it? I know that older issues generally tell more complete stories than modern ones. Am I spoiling myself/does that really matter for this run? I'm not very interested in hunting down omnibuses and making big purchases all at once.
