Why Is The Job Market So Tough In Spain?

I’m a foreigner who studied in a Spanish university. I know from both personal experience and anecdotes from friends that the job market is brutal.

I am curious to hear an insider’s perspective on why this is. I’ve heard that taxes can make new hiring difficult and entry-level jobs requiring a ridiculous amount of internships. I would like to hear these reasons (if true) expanded or hear other options.
