20F,Lost after 2 NEET drops, trying to figure out if CS is a realistic main path or a bad idea
I completed my 12th in 2023 and after that took 2 drops for NEET and scored terribly in both of them. After my 2nd and last NEET attempt in May 2025, I started preparing for CLAT seriously from August and sat for the exam in December. Although I couldn't clear the cutoff, I can say that I scored above average considering that I just prepared for 3 months with just self-study and missed the cutoff by a few marks, so that's comparatively much better than NEET.
In 2025, I enrolled in a degree from IGNOU. It's kind of no use in helping me get a good job, so since I have already developed a little passion for law, I am thinking of pursuing CS alongside my degree. Also, my parents have asked me not to wander around and keep on switching careers and just focus on preparing for government job exams. So although I am, but half-heartedly, since I feel it's too much competition and I don't believe in myself, but still I am preparing for bank exams since 3 to 4 months. I am good with calculations, like with practice I can solve math and reasoning pretty nicely, but still I want to pursue CS as a backup option. Not realistically a backup, but a full-time focus, since it requires proper dedication. So I want to know if it's a good idea or not.
