VS3 [300€] vs Eureka Mignon Specialità [350€]
I looked up several forums and lower-budget comparison videos. The Eureka Mignon Specialità (got a lot of love on forums) is about €350 where I live, but it’s big, robust, and blue. I’ve heard it’s quite a good machine. On the other hand, the Varia VS3( 300€), the “corrected” model, is quite sleek and nice-looking, but I’ve heard that it’s not quite as good. It’s still a great grinder, though, just maybe not as amazing as the Specialità. A friend of mine who owns the Specialità told me that his touchscreen developed electrical problems fairly soon after he bought it.
And I’m still not fully convinced. Maybe, in the end, the VS3 is the better choice. I would like some insight cause it would be my first grinder.... df54 was also something I looked at as possibility(because of the flat burrs sounds interesting) the fellow opus 2 was also something I liked the look but it is a fairly complicated shipping and delivery process which I prefer to avoid. any tips? or experiences? which could help me to find the solution? ( as extra information we are a 2 person household and drink quite a few coffees/cappuccinos/cortados through the day)
