Phoenix mid

Hello r/learndota2 I recently found success with phoenix mid at my 4k bracket, i have a lot of experience with this game, this hero as a support, but not this role.

I was looking for suggestions about my item build, as well as hints on how should i play late game which comes when i failed to close the game before 30, and enemy team has bought items to work around my spells.
I understand that it’s a tempo midlaner hero who either win fast or it turns into a pumpkin and you lose. But i really feel those items and lvl powerspickes i get before i buy shivas, but any item option i take after that feels really weak and unimpactful.
My build is sticks, grenades into tranquil boots - spirit vessel — meteor hammer — shivas — what items should core Phoenix consider next? I tried refresher, euls, heart but those options felt lacklustre (even when i initiate with iqarus euls meteor combo enemy team has tons of time to react to either disengage or jump me). I consider trying aeon and bkb but what other items i should try?

I tried building treads and bracers as many high mmr phoenixes do, yet i noticed tranquils allow me to be very aggressive and reliably spam spirits and dominate mid when i rush them.
