i showed the xp first. people treated it like the end

tbh i thought the xp thing needed to be on page 1. like dont hide the good part...

so i rebuilt it so the home screen had the level badge and the little progress ring. people would open, glance, and close like ok done.

in beedone its basically telling them what they already earned, not what theyre supposed to do next. and that sounds backwards, but its what the usage data kept hinting at.

i moved the whole rewards view behind the first actual task. now they see one empty box to fill, then the xp shows up after. also i cut the tiny tip text i was so proud of.

it still reminds me of when i open Todoist and i already feel stressed, even before i add anything. if the app gives you a wrap up feeling early, your brain stops.

anyone else notice that the most useful screen is sometimes the boring one after the wow moment?
