Andrea, a mother with a young daughter, was reportedly rebuilding her life after completing drug rehabilitation and beginning a new job. She was last seen at a gas station near Virginia Street and Fares Avenue in Evansville.
Two days later, highway workers discovered Andrea’s body in a roadside ditch near Highway 351 in rural Gibson County. An autopsy determined that she had been strangled and dead for approximately 24–48 hours. Investigators believe Andrea was killed somewhere else and transported to the recovery site.
Who saw Andrea leave the gas station, and did she enter a vehicle? Did anyone travel between Evansville and Francisco during those two days and notice a stopped vehicle or suspicious activity near the ditch? A witness may remember a conversation, customer, or driver who appeared familiar to Andrea.
Research update: Investigators exhumed Andrea’s remains shortly after her death while seeking additional DNA evidence. Authorities later examined a possible connection to an alleged multistate serial offender but did not establish a direct link. Her murder received renewed public attention in 2025, yet no arrest or conviction has been announced.
