Wet bread

Is it me? I see all the recipes for "soft, gooey, moist" rolls, breads, cakes, and cookies. The visuals are of the person squeezing the roll, or breaking the cookie or cutting the cake, and all I see is a wet, soggy, under baked product that is no way appealing. I want to gag. Please tell me it isn't just me.
